“I started work on the new album earlier in the year and since then have been dropping into the studio to record each song as it’s completed. As soon as I finish writing a new track I like to get it down while the enthusiasm and ideas are still fresh in my mind. I don’t know what it is, but the ‘buzz’ of a brand new song can only be captured on the recording if it’s done quickly. Too much over thinking can often lead you down a rabbit hole and ruin a great song. Write it, rehearse it well and get it down fast, that’s my motto. But hey, we’ll soon find out! I’m back in the studio later this month and aim to have the 12 track album ready for release in early January 2025.”
